Demolishing a portion of Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium has begun. The work will make room for the Fanning Center, which will house offices, meeting spaces and dining and strength and conditioning facilities for the football program. Sections 218, 219 and part of 217 are being removed, decreasing stadium seating capacity from 55,000 to 51,913. The Fanning Center is expected to be completed in 2026.
