For Austell mayor, four candidates have qualified for the Nov.
5 general election:
■ Chris Djonis, a contractor, Djonis4mayor.com
■ Mayor Ollie B. Clemons Jr., a retiree, OllieForAustell.com
■ Ikaika Anderson, self-employed, ElectIkaika.com
■ Cindy D. Thompson, a consultant, AustellsChoiceIsCindy.com Clemons, who had been chosen mayor by Mayor Joe Jerkins, recently was inaugurated as mayor after Jerkins resigned.
With longtime Councilman Scott S. Thomas not running this time, another contested race is for Council, Ward 2:
